Meet
Danielle Grogg, Intern
Hi! My name is Danielle Grogg, and I am excited to be completing my practicum
placement with Rock Creek Wellness this fall. I am currently a second-year Master's student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Duquesne University.
Originally from Reading, Pennsylvania, I moved to Pittsburgh in August 2025 to pursue my graduate studies after earning my bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. My passion for counseling developed through my experiences working with children
in childcare settings, serving as a Resident Assistant during my undergraduate years, and holding various leadership roles that allowed me to support and connect with others. These experiences reinforced my desire to help individuals recognize their strengths, overcome challenges, and move toward becoming the best versions of themselves!
My Hope for Wellness
I am grateful to see mental health becoming a more open and accepted topic within our
communities. Seeking support is a sign of strength, not weakness, and everyone deserves a
safe space to explore their experiences, challenges, and goals. My hope is to help create an
environment where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered as they navigate life's
difficulties and discover meaningful paths toward growth and wellness.
Interesting Tidbits
When I'm not working or studying, you can usually find me spending time with friends
and family, reading a good book, or staying active. I am passionate about the connection
between mental and physical well-being and enjoy incorporating movement into my own
self-care routine. Lately, I've been exploring Pittsburgh by walking local trails, strolling through
Downtown and Duquesne University's beautiful campus, and trying fitness classes such as yoga
and Pilates. I love finding new ways to support overall wellness and enjoy encouraging others to
discover what helps them feel their best.
